FAMILIES CELEBRATE THE NEW YEAR WITH PIZZA, SAYS AMERICAN PIZZA COMMUNITY

Washington, D.C. – December 22, 2016 – According to the American Pizza Community (APC), New Year’s Day is among the top five busiest days for ordering pizza and families everywhere will celebrate their last gathering of the holiday season by sharing a pizza.

With more than 34 million ways to customize a pizza, families turn increasingly to the crowd-pleasing, communal meal.  Eighty-five percent of pizza today is consumed at home as families want easy delivery and carry-out options in order to share a handmade dinner and satisfy many different tastes.

Pizza remains a top choice for Americans because of its convenience and wide range of ingredients for individual customization.  From multiple crust and cheese choices to fruits and vegetables, the possibilities are endless!
